Dyed naturally with coffee, tea, pomegranate and other plants

We are in the news lot with our bespoke range of clothing, dyed naturally using plants and herbs. Even the BBC came to film us!

We visited the factory in Gujarat near the city of Ahmedabad and spent time with Arun and Sonal who have developed the idea. We found that the factory smelt of “cooking” rather than harsh chemicals. No need for masks, or gloves, or the protective equipment necessary in chemical dyeing factories. Of course it was obvious once we gave it some thought because of course, it is a sort of cooking. Roots, leaves, stems, fruit and nuts all “cooked” to make the dyes.

The colours are rich, warm and soft using ancient techniques but honed so that they are commercially viable. The process is not as accurate as chemical dyes mixed to match pan tome colours exactly. However a good match can be made and customers are usually delighted with subtle and unique resulting colour. The colours are richer than modern dyes. It adds warmth to the textiles and the branding and image of our customers.

The entire dying process is organic and certified by GOTS.

We make most of our naturally dyed garments to order and delivery would be around eight weeks. However we do hold stock of some items take a look at our naturally dyed catalogue.
